FAQs

Why should I choose QCPT Physical Therapy?

At QCPT, we are here to change the game. Every session is one on one and individualized. We take an all inclusive approach; evaluating and treating the entire body will a full array of techniques and transparency. Want to focus on your hips one session and focus on your neck the next? Sure thing, I've got you. Want dry needling performed? No problem, and no extra charge to you. You get the full attention that you deserve. You get results quicker. The average visit count and discharge rate is significantly less than a typical in-network facility. I set you up with knowledge and skills to maintain a healthy, pain free life.

Do you accept my insurance plan?

I do not accept insurance. QCPT Physical Therapy is a cash-based, fee for service clinic that is out of network with insurance companies. This model allows me to get you better, in less time, without insurance restrictions. It allows for 60 minutes sessions and one-on-one care. I do take HSA and FSA.

Upon request, I can also provide an invoice/superbill to get reimbursed based on your benefits. Many commercial insurance plans (NOT Medicare) have good out of network benefits and you can submit for reimbursement with the provided invoice.

I understand this is not for everyone and can make access more difficult for some, but I am committed to providing the highest value and quality care that in-network insurance companies simply do not allow.

What payment methods do you accept?

I accept cash, credit, debit, HSA, FSA, Zelle, and Venmo. Payment is due at the time of service.

What should I expect at my initial visit?

The Initial Evaluation starts off with a detailed review of your medical history and a discussion of your PT goals. We will perform a full body evaluation as different regions in the body are very interconnected and play off each other. We will collaborate on a plan of care and determine the best route to optimize your rehab. We will also be able to transition into treatment and will provide a home routine to make further progress until our next session.

What should I wear for my sessions?

We will need to be able to have access to whichever region of the body that will be treated. A top with exposed shoulders or a sports bra is recommended for the upper body and shorts for the lower body. Otherwise make sure to wear something you are comfortable exercising in.

Do I need a physician's prescription for physical therapy?

No. North Carolina is a direct access state where physical therapists can serve as the first line of treatment for injuries. We will screen to make sure you are appropriate for physical therapy and can help you get referred to the appropriate provider if determined that physical therapy is not the best avenue for you.

Do you perform dry needling?

Yes, Dry needling is included during physical therapy treatment sessions (if warranted) at no extra cost. Separate 30 minute Dry Needling Only sessions are also available; these are appropriate for flare-ups and maintenance work.

What is dry needling?

Dry needling is a treatment used for pain and movement issues associated with myofascial trigger points. With this technique, a provider inserts thin needles into or near your trigger points. This helps relieve pain and improve your range of motion. When dry needling is applied to your muscles and tissues, it can decrease tightness, increase blood flow and reduce local and referred pain. Providers use solid needles that don't contain any kind of medication. This is why the technique is called “dry.”
